50-210 Relay For Life Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser
Thursday February 27, 2014 5pm-7:30pm

The 50-210 Fire Department Relay For Life team is relaying in full force this year!! Over the last 22 months, our team has raised just under $30,000.00! As a “rookie team”, we are amazed and humbled by the support we have gotten from our community, friends, and family. With your help, we can make this year just as successful as the last two years have been!! We will be holding a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Thursday, February 27th from 5pm – 7:30pm at 50-210 Fire Station One. Station One is located at 50 Greenleaf Road, Angier, NC 27501. You can dine in or dine out with our drive through! Plates for a hearty serving of spaghetti and  bread will be $7 each. All of the money raised from the event will be donated to the American Cancer Society via the 50-210 Fire Department Team. We are so very thankful to Smith's Nursery and Produce Farm for sponsoring this event! Smith’s Nursery is a locally owned and operated family business. Located at 443 Sanders Road in Benson NC, Smith’s Nursery has so much to offer… strawberries, blueberries, ornamental plants, and ice cream, as well as a large assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables. We applaud their dedication in the fight against cancer and we encourage you to thank them by patronizing their business! Strawberry season and spring planting is just around the corner and you will love what they have to offer! We hope that you will join us on February 27 for our spaghetti dinner and help us fight cancer. Together we can find a cure so let’s finish the fight!

Breakfast with Santa

Mark your calendars now and join us on December 14th for a pancake breakfast with Santa at Andy's Highway 55 Burgers & Shakes located in the 40/42 shopping area!! Grab the little ones in your life and treat them to a great morning out while fighting cancer at the same time!

Our Relay For Life team will be selling tickets for $5 a plate or you can buy tickets at the door. You can come in anytime prior to 10:30 but we will stop selling plates at 10:30 so that we can start cleaning up before they open for lunch. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society via the American Cancer Society Relay For Life ~ 50-210 Fire Department Team!

If you know some folks who would love to come to this event, please invite them!! If you are unable to attend but would like to make a donation to our team or to a team member, here is the link. Thanks so much for helping us fight cancer!

4th Annual School Supplies Drive

Posted August 2013

It takes only seconds to make a difference in someone's life. If you know someone who lives in the fire district, please let them know about the event and help us get the word out about the drive!

On Saturday August 3 2013 during TAX FREE WEEKEND, the 50-210 Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will be sponsoring its fourth community wide school supplies drive from 11am-1pm. The drive will be held at the 50-210 Community Volunteer Fire Department Station One. The station is located at 50 Greenleaf Road, Angier, NC, just south of the intersection of Hwy. 210 & Hwy. 50.

The ladies auxiliary strives to include the community in all of the events they hold and the school supplies drive is no different. It is an easy way for members of the community to get involved in helping schools within the 50-210 fire district. The fire house bay doors are open for traffic to pull in and pass their donation off to the auxiliary. All supplies collected will go to the schools in the 50-210 fire district: McGee’s Elementary School, Dixon Road Elementary School, McGee’s Middle School, and West Johnston High School.

Supplies that are needed include: crayons, composition note books, spiral notebooks, index cards, old magazines, solid colored shirt and shorts for elementary school students who might have an accident, pocket folders, pencil pouches, pencils, pens, erasers, play-doh, dry erase markers, glue sticks, white bottles of Elmer’s Glue, tissue, hand sanitizer, kid scissors, soap, wipes, construction paper, back packs, and 1GB flash drives. The auxiliary will also be collecting non-perishable foods to donate to families that are unable to meet the nourishment needs of their children once they are home for the weekend or evening hours away from school provided meals. PLEASE NOTE that this is only a collection site and all items collected will be distributed to the schools. If you or someone you know needs assistance with school supplies, please direct them to the school guidance counselors’ office for assistance.

The 50-210 Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary is a registered non-profit organization and your donation is tax deductible.

When the 50-210 Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary restarted in 2009 it had one focus, and that was to become an organization that would be of so much value to the community within the 50-210 fire district. The ladies strive to uphold their mission to support not only the fire fighters who serve the 50-210 fire district, but also the citizens who live within the district lines. Over the last three years, the auxiliary has concentrated on areas within the community on multiple levels; food bank drives, school supply drives, helping families impacted by fires, and so much more.
